i.OTE O DOLA FOR CENPED: A COMMUNITY THEATRE PROJECT SPONSORED BY CENPED IN CONJUNCTION WITH USAID/OTI
Abeokuta is an ancient city in Ogun state, consisting of five towns; Ibara, Ake, Owu, Oke-ona, and Gbagura. Alake has always been recognized as the paramount ruler out of the other kings. Recently other kings challenged him and declared publicly that they have equal rights. Due to this, violence has been looming, deadly silence permeated the atmosphere and the people have been sitting on gunpowder. In the above facts mentioned, center for peace Education and Development (CENPED) OTI commissioned this troupe to enter-educate the people on the evil s of violence in the society. The designated location chosen are markets, motor parks and the state's cultural center. The date was from 18th-28th of August, 2000.this programme was to make the people to realize that they should not allow themselves to be used by some selfish wealthy people who reap from conflicts and war. We arrived on the 18th we had a preview of the drama after which we were lodged in a hotel.
Second Day - Omida market. The people received us warmly and we had a successful performance. The people were happy and they appreciated us.
Third Day- Lafenwa market: It was a success and the actors and actresses were sprayed with money.
Fourth Day- Oba Lipede market (Kuto): The performance was commended and gifts were lavished on the performers.
Fifth Day- Iberekodo market: The people were thrilled and thy appreciated the effort of the organizers.
Sixth Day- Ijaye motor park: We were able to reach out to the N.U.R.T.W and R.T.E.A.N. They commended our efforts and promised to pass on the message to others.
Seventh Day-Ita Oshin motor park: The two associations also appreciated our efforts and even demanded for the copies of the video cassettes recorded.
Eighth Day- Asero motor park: We were able to reach the two associations and they advised the organizers to shoot it into film and make the people have access to it.
Ninth Day- Kuto motor park(morning): We had the productions and the association leaders commended the efforts and promiPOST http://www.oraclesrti.faithweb.com/cgi-bin/util/sitebuilder HTTP/1.0sed to imbibe the message into their lives.
Command Performance- This happens to be the grand finale and it was meant for the dignitaries at the cultural center Kuto. They were happy with what they saw and expressed their own opinions that it would have been good if the productions can be taken to the different towns in the state.

ii.OTEN'TULU: A FILM FOR OTI/USAID IN CONJUNCTION WITH CENPED. Abeokuta (June 2001).
Due to the success of the project, we were commissioned to shoot a film preaching against violence and conflicts in the society. They intend showing it in the western states (chosen towns). At the end of the production, they were pleased with the standard of the film.
